Chris Redd and Luke Null join SNL as Featured Players

Saturday Night Live has added four more members of the iO family to it’s cast and writing staff, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Luke Null and Chris Redd will join the cast as featured players for the start of the show’s 43rd season on Saturday,  September 30th, and Gary Richardson and Steven Castillo will join the writing staff.

After performing in iO’s yearly solo showcase auditions held over the summer by iO owner and Artistic Director, Charna Halpern, Luke was selected to participate in a bigger showcase held for SNL producers, which eventually led to his hiring. Prior to that, Luke was performing regularly in Chicago, most notably with his iO “Harold” team, “Artemis”.

Chris Redd performed all over Chicago including iO, where he performed with the award-winning improv troupe, “3PEAT”. Chris was also a regular on the Netflix series “Disjointed,  appeared in the Andy Sanmberg comedy Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and recently debuted his Comedy Central Stand-Up special.

Before moving to New York and becoming one of their favorite comedians, Gary was a fan favorite of the Chicago comedy scene. He also performed at iO with his ‘Harold’ team “Attica”, and was a founding member of the award-winning improv troupe, “3PEAT”.

Besides studying at iO, Steven Castillo also performed all over Chicago (including several shows at iO)  before moving to Los Angeles.

Congratulations to all!!!
