Harold Team Auditions

Submissions for the next round of iO Harold Team auditions are now being accepted!

Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 21, with callbacks on Sunday, March 22.

Please note that iO Chicago will be selecting auditioners based on their resume and performance background. The Harold Commission will consider both a performer’s improv experience and the theater’s interest in creating diverse and inclusive teams.

You are eligible to audition if:

  • You have graduated from the iO Training Center (iO Chicago or iO West) beforeSeptember 2019. Please indicate your graduation date on your submission form.

You are not eligible to audition if:

  • You arecurrently enrolled as a student in the iO Training Center or you are currently performing in The Pool.
  • You have graduated from the iO Training Center less than 6 months ago (September 2019).

If you have not graduated from the iO Training Center, you may be eligible to audition if:

  • You have extensive improv training and professional-level performing experience. Please highlight this experience as part of your submission.

You must complete the submission form in full to be considered. If you have difficulty submitting your headshot or resume using the form, please send it as an attachment to ioharoldauditions@gmail.com

The submission window will be open starting today, and will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 4. Auditioners will be notified by Monday, March 9. If selected, you will be assigned a random one-hour slot on Saturday, March 21 between 10am-5pm. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, March 22 from 12-3pm. Expect to be present for the entire time if you are called back.

Performers that are not selected may check in at the theater for standby slots on the day of the audition for no-shows or last minute cancellations. Standby slots are still subject to the eligibility rules outlined above.
