J.J. is a filmmaker, devourer of comedy, and practicing attorney (have to fund that passion somehow) from Chicago, Illinois. While practicing law, he attended Columbia College part-time, studying videography. He has written, directed, and edited two award-winning short films, along with numerous music videos, political campaign videos, local business vignettes, and of course, comedy sketch videos. As a filmmaker, he has had work featured in a Purina PetCare commercial, on ESPN’s SportsNation, and has shown work in more than a dozen different film festivals. J.J.’s claim to fame is that he was a featured reporter in the first minute of the first episode of Chicago Justice. The show ended after only one season, but J.J. likes to say he was a big part of it (the show, not it getting cancelled).
